LITTLE ROCK, AR — July 2, 2025 — Rising West Coast rapper EBK Jaaybo, born Aareon Jaymani Gorman, is facing a potential 30-year federal prison sentence following a sweeping indictment on multiple gun and drug-related charges stemming from a May 18 arrest in Pope County, Arkansas.
According to federal court documents, Jaaybo was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by Arkansas State Police on Interstate 40. A subsequent search uncovered marijuana, unidentified pills, $8,379 in cash, and a Glock pistol modified with a machine gun conversion device later confirmed to be stolen from California.
On June 26, Jaaybo was formally indicted in U.S. District Court on the following charges:
Possession of a machine gun in furtherance of drug trafficking
Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
Transportation of a firearm across state lines while under indictment
Possession of a stolen firearm
Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
If convicted on the most serious counts, Jaaybo faces a mandatory minimum of 30 years in federal prison.
The 21-year-old Stockton native, known for his breakout 2024 single “Boogieman,” entered a plea of not guilty. He remains in custody at the Pope County Detention Center pending trial, which is scheduled for July 28, 2025.
This marks Jaaybo’s second arrest in 2025. In March, he was taken into custody in California on separate charges including drug possession, ammunition violations, and probation infractions. He was released on bond shortly before the Arkansas incident.
The indictment comes at a pivotal moment in Jaaybo’s career. He was recently named to the 2025 XXL Freshman Class and had been slated to join NBA YoungBoy’s “MASA” (Make America Slime Again) tour this fall. Due to the charges, he has since been removed from the tour lineup.
Despite mounting legal troubles, Jaaybo’s music continues to resonate with fans, with “Boogieman” amassing over 116 million streams on Spotify. His legal team has not issued a public statement at this time.
